Long ago, when these lands were still young, there lived a barbarian named Sokka.
He came from nowhere: no tribe, no banner, only an axe and a hunger that could not be satisfied. Village by village he took what others thought could never be taken. Walls crumbled, nobles knelt, and one morning the old kings woke up to find every last village flying his colours.
Then, as suddenly as he came, Sokka vanished. Some said he grew bored. Some said there was nothing left to conquer. The bards say he simply went home to sharpen his axe.
The world moved on. New tribes rose. New kings sat on old thrones and told themselves the stories were just stories.
They were wrong.
Sokka is back, and he did not come alone. His old war band has answered the call once more: the same faces, the same fire, the same appetite. They remember every road, every hill and every weak wall.
They conquered it all once.
Now they are here to do it again.
*Sleep lightly, neighbours. The barbarian has returned.*
